Central Coast Mariners
Home ground: Bluetongue Stadium, Gosford, NSW
After becoming the first-ever Central Coast team to compete in a national football competition, the Mariners have become one of the A-League’s most consistent performers. Despite reaching the Grand Final in the inaugural 2005/06 season and in 2007/08, the club has yet to claim its first championship. Under the guidance of Graham Arnold, 2010/11 saw the Central Coast make another appearance in the Grand Final. However, they finished as runner-up once again, with record-breaking Brisbane Roar claiming the title in dramatic circumstances.
